I love to write. I write for a living, but am on hiatus to care for my two sons, Adam and David, and a blog is my way of keeping the language tools sharp. David is only 6 months and Adam barely 2, which means you will see plenty of posts about parenthood triumphs and blunders. My hobbies are cooking and reading, especially mysteries and "literary fiction," so I will throw in some food and book reviews. Blogging requires a little navel-gazing, and mine probably will take the form of commentary on the balance between living an adult life (marriage, friends, exercise, free time) and living in the world of small boys (trucks, diapers, trucks, peanut butter sandwiches, trucks).
The name of this blog? I live in Minnesota, which features the state motto: L'Etoile Du Nord, or Star of the North. And my mother is a lifelong fan of astronomy and outer space; she continually reminds me we are all stardust.
